By dint of Marcin Jaworek inquiry we can give details of West Star's service. In 1965 year ship was built for German shipowner in shipyard Atlas-Werke in Brema, Germany. Finally, it sold to Danish shipowner Partrederi „Trigon” , Kopenhagen. Ship orginally named „Monika Munksholm”, and next „Monika Trigon”. After next change shipowner to Rederi K/S Westcoast company, Danish, ship was named "West Star". Helsinborg was its port of registry. It is known what happend few hours before sinking. Danish ship West Star under command of capt. Erik Olsen went for her last voyage on sunday October 25th 1970. They were sailing from Gdansk to United Kingdom with load of wood. At 02:55 local time (CET) they sand a distress call "MAYDAY MAYDAY" due to high angle heel. At 8 in the morning on Friday October 30th
after long fight with heel capt. Olsen abandon the ship.
